Calypso_A199803Calypso is an approximate 8-year-old, neutered male, sable and white German Shepherd/Husky mix that weighs 40 pounds. He arrived at the shelter as a stray on 10/21/19.This sweet boy is a happy-go-lucky puppy that likes to play with toys and play fetch. He can be a bit jumpy at times and will most likely knock smaller children down by accident; we therefore recommend older, dog-savvy, respectful children for him. Being a puppy, Calypso has a high energy level and loves to be with people. He also doesn`t mind other dogs; If you have another dog and are interested in adopting Calypso, bring them to the shelter with you and our staff will help you with a meet and greet. He gets a bit anxious around cats and may chase one if he had the chance. Calypso walks pretty well on the leash, but could use some work on basic commands such as sit, down and stay. He`s very gentle when taking food from the hand.
