Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Dog for Adoption in Forestville, Maryland, 20747 USNickname: *LOVEBUG Posted Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (short coat). Newly nicknamed by her foster, Bailey is doing well in her foster home! Here are a few things weâve learned about Bailey since her foster parent has taken her: - She is very curious and loves to hunt! - She chased squirrels, birds, a fox, deer and several cats (So small animals in the home may be a no for her). - She is experiencing separation anxiety when left alone for short periods and may need a family who is home very often. - The family that takes her will need to be very active as well as she can sit for hours but requires the stimulation of outdoors and walks several times a day. - She is even tempered and loves affection (as everyone who has met her knows). - She is well mannered when meeting new people, well behaved on her leash, and only barks/growls when startled. I wanted to provide an update on the status of the pooch formerly known as `Lovebug`. Here are a few things I've learned since taking her into my care:- she is very curious and loves to hunt/chase- she has chased squirrels, birds, a fox, deer and several cats- she is still experiencing minor separation anxiety when left alone for short periods -she loves sunning herself on the deck or by lying out in the grass of my back yard- she loves physical touch, petting and belly rubs The family that takes her will need to be active.She can sit for hours at a time when need be, but requires the stimulation of outdoors (multiple time throughout the day) and walks (at least 2x) times a day. She is even tempered and loves affection (as I'm sure you know).She is well mannered when meeting new people and well behaved on her leashand only barks/growls when startled. She eats twice a day.Around 6:30 am and 6:30 pm.I normally walk her prior to each meal.She is very regular with her bathroom schedule. Bailey has attended many adoption events this Fall, and she has been the bestest girl. Although she is very social and well behaved, she has yet to find her FURever home. Bailey has benefited from being in a foster home but she would love a family of her own.
