Cooper was surrendered to the shelter when his owners could no longer care for him. He is around 4 years old and is a Labrador Retriever. He currently weighs 77 pounds. Cooper has had a history with allergies in the past and reoccurring ear infections. He was placed on a trial diet here at the shelter to rule out food-based allergies vs seasonal allergies. Switching his food seems to have done the trick. His hair is growing back in the spots that he was missing fur from, and he seems way more comfortable! He is still on an over-the-counter diet; it is just salmon and sweet potato based. When Cooper arrived at the shelter, he was recovering from having his tail accidentally shut in a door, this has been healing well and it looks like the hair is finally growing back as well! He is a big happy go lucky guy that loves to be with you and loves attention! He has never lived with other animals, but his previous owner said he did get along with other dogs he has interacted with. Cooper would love to find his loving forever home soon!
