Curtis is an owner surrender. He is about 7 years old and about 40ish pounds. Curtis has been through a lot of changes in the last few years. Several years ago he was a stray running around a neighborhood down south. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan was able to catch him and bring him inside to safety. Unable to find his owner, she decided to keep him. He was a typical stray learning to live in a home. Curtis was very skinny, terrible on leash, timid, anxious and not housetrained. She worked with him and he has overcome all that to be a sweet, friendly snuggle bug. Curtis is pretty laid back, enjoying a few naps and a nice walk each day. A new baby entered the home several months ago and has seemed to set off his anxieties. His owners have tried several things to help him, but his anxieties continue. He spends most of his day hiding and is generally always nervous. The baby’s sleep schedule has caused him to confuse his days and nights. Although heartbroken, his owners have decided to rehome him as their home will become more chaotic as the baby grows. They want the best for Curtis and hate to see him so stressed. Curtis would love a quiet home with someone who is home a lot. He is used to being an only dog so a doggie sibling is not necessary although he likes other dogs. He is a bit chubby and would benefit from a diet and regular exercise schedule.
