These sweet ladies came to WAG after their owner could no longer care for them. They spent a little time with our little dogs before going to a foster home, which has allowed us to see their wonderful personalities. Honey is a 10 year old dachshund who would love nothing more than to have a person to keep company all the time. Basil is a 6 year old Chihuahua mix who loves to be in her person's lap and being close to Honey. Going for a walk? They'd love to join you. Need someone to tuck in at night? They enjoy sleeping under the covers. They are lovable and affectionate and even good with strangers. The only drawbacks with this adorable pair is that they have some separation anxiety, are not good with cats, and prefer not to be around small children. If given the opportunity, they will overeat. Their weight was a concern when they arrived, and Honey and Basil have been working on getting to a healthier weight while in their foster home. Their ideal home would be with someone either retired or working from home so that they could always be with you. A fence is required for their safety.
