Dakota is a spirited and adventurous puppy who loves to explore the great outdoors. With her boundless energy and curiosity, she will make the perfect hiking companion. Despite her love for adventure, Dakota is also a big cuddle bug who enjoys snuggling up with her favorite humans after a day of fun. Her tail wags enthusiastically whenever she meets new friends, and her overall appearance is both striking and endearing. With floppy ears and those deep dark eyes, her friendly and outgoing personality ensures she’ll quickly become a cherished member of your family. Dakota has more lab qualitaies and has more of a party girl attitude. There is no shoe, shoelace, socks or stick that is safe, despite the abundance of actual crew toys availabale. Dakota favors a smelly sock or untying shoes more than toys. She LOVES belly rubs and tug of war. Dakota is good with other dogs and children. She loves to explore the backyard and find big sticks to carry around that are twice her size. And, when it comes to nap time, she loves to cuddle up with you and if in the mood will let you hold her in your arms like a baby. Dakota is about 9 - 10 weeks old. Dakota and her sister Sierra found themsleves in a shelter in NC due to Hurricane Helene. Furever Home Dog Rescue transported them to NJ to live in foster homes until they find their furever homes. Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be left alone all day. We do not have a shelter facility you can visit. Thank you!Adoption processIf you see a pup that you are interested in adopting, please email us at XXXX@att.net.com & ask for an adoption application. All applicants must be at least 24 years old AND they must be the head of household. Renters are welcome as long as dogs are allowed by their landlords. Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be alone all day. Upon completion and review, if application meets our requirements, we contact you to discuss the dog and arrange a home visit. Appointments for meet and greets of the dog will only be set after an adoption application has been completed and reviewed. The adoption process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks upon receipt of your application. Please understand an application does not guarantee an adoption. If the adoption application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet. The applicant will have the opportunity to meet the dog and ask the foster questions about the dog. If everyone thinks the adoption is a good fit, the adoption will be finalized. The adopter will be required to sign an adoption agreement and a spay/neuter agreement (if dog is under 6 months old).
