Dallas Chihuahua Adult Male
Introducing Dallas. This little guy is really lovable and his personality lives up to his name. Hold on to your cowboy hat, you are going to fall in love quickly with Dallas!Dallas was recently turned in to a local shelter as his owners were moving and did not want to take him! What? When you meet him you will wonder how this family made that decision! Dallas is an sweet as they come. But honestly we were thrilled to step in and bring Dallas in to our program. This little guy had zero veterinarian work done and was so thin you could see his ribs. CRT promised him that he would never feel that unloved again!Dallas has fit in good to his new foster home. He loves the other small dogs and will play with them and cuddle with them. He has started to play with toys and loves the fuzzy, squeaky ones! Oh the joy of toys! We hope you have a lot of toys in your home for Dallas to enjoy.Dallas loves being outside even in the summer heat. Note that Dallas is small and therefore will always need his human near by while he is out (there are instances where hawks or large birds will swoop down and pick up small dogs under 5 lbs, so you will want to be there to protect Dallas). We also want to emphasize that your fence must be very secure. Dallas is so tiny that he can easily slip under the smallest opening in a fence, so he will need to be in a home with a solid, fenced back yard.Dallas also loves his humans. He has warmed up quickly to people and enjoys hanging around you. This little guy is a velcro dog with his humans. He loves to sit on your lap and be petted. He loves to snuggle and cuddle with you. He also loves being petted. Dallas will give you lots of kisses to show his affection. This guy is definitely a lover.Dallas is young and energetic. He is about four years old and has many happy years ahead. Dallas weighs about 4.eight pounds and is full grown. He is a little thin, and our veterinarian would like to see him between 5 and 5.5lbs. So he is currently getting extra food! Due to his small size, we recommend an all adult home only or a home with older, mature kids (13 and older). He gets along with everyone, but he is tiny! Note that he is very active and loves to be right by your feet, so could be a tripping hazard! Dallas has a tan coat with some white highlights. We love his ears, and his deep brown eyes.Dallas is working on his house breaking and is almost there. He is good at going outside and will also use pee pee pads. He is also crate trained and will quietly sleep the entire night in his crate. He does love to cuddle and would probably welcome snuggling in your bed with you at night. Dallas is also leash trained. His foster Mom is taking him for daily walks and she says he runs to the door and sits down as soon as you put his harness on! He is super smart he has already began sitting for treats.Dallas is being fostered in the DFW (Texas) area.
