Please contact Jennifer (Jlsetlakaol) for more information about this pet. The story begins with a little pup being taken from his mom to a home with little structure, training or love. I was not abused, but never given the chance to learn manors, self-control or how a boy is to act in a home. Being a Dobbie, my nose left me to explore the world, whatever and wherever it would take me. Unfortunately, it took me to be surrendered to a high kill shelter at only thirteen months of age. That shelter saw a bright-eyed boy with potential, put me through temperament testing where I excelled. Yes, I am true to my breed, very intelligent! Even without training, I was said to be full of a special zest for life. My photo went out to northern rescues with hopes that someone would see a boy longing to be given a chance. I got that chance! Off I went in a van north to rescue. At 85#, no kennel space was available, but the driver of the van found a space. Yes, I was to ride shot gun in the front seat for my journey. Arriving in PA, my foster mom/dad picked me up. I was thrilled to see they had a large yard with other “buddies” as I do LOVE other dogs and space to run. Although they do have a physical fence, mom says I’d be fine with an electric fence. Mom noted quickly that I lacked training. Yes, my “Nose” controls me…. Nose to the ground and off I go! After a few applicants came and went, I did get adopted by a nice younger couple. Although they had little yard, they did live near a few dog parks and promised to utilize a trainer to help me through my energetic behavior needs. Life was good. Exercise is top on my list of needs. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had a hand in this need. With the ongoing "monsoon weather"/rain, my dog park visits decreased and anxiety set in. Although a loving boy, lack of consistent exercise caused over excitement getting to and while at the park. Also, my mom became pregnant and there soon would be little time for an energized boy with exercise needs. Being a boy of many talents, I know sit, shake, down, wait, be nice, take nice, “Peanut Butter” and laying nicely on the couch to watch TELEVISION. My leash walking varies depending on the “Varmints” seen. again, my nose is very keen and my prey drive high. Oh yes, I also LOVE swimming! I’ve come so far and am still improving. I need a job, a family that will give me exercise, Hopeful for a LARGE Buddy dog to romp and wrestle with, and a home that will love me for the goofy boy I am. Yes, I do need consistency, structure and direction to continue my learning, but it will all be worth it. PLEASE, come meet me and see for yourself. I’m Jethro, a GEORGOUS Dobbie boy who wants to shine! So that' my story, I"m a strikingly terrific looking boy with so much potential, a zest for life, love to give and big brown eyes that will melt your heart… I just need that special person/family. might it be you?
