About Coat lengthShort Good in a home withOther dogs, cats. Meet Dakota Meet Dakota! This gorgeous pup is a 4 month old German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix. She is hoping to find a forever home very soon!Dakota was brought to the shelter alongside her sister (Elle, who has her own lisitng here on our Petfinder!). They were part of an accidental litter that the owners could not keep. Dakota is a very sweet girl, but she is a little shy. The shelter is stressful for any dog, and being so young makes it even scarier. However, Dakota is trying her best to be brave, and is still very affectionate!Dakota has been around other dogs and cats and did great with them. She has never been aorund kids, and we always recommend a meet and greet prior to adoption; she is young enough, though, that she will likely adjust well. Keep in mind, too, that any puppy will need training, and Dakota is no exception. Her first owner did start her own housetraining, but she is not 100% on it yet. Dakota is a mix of two very intelligent breeds, though, so she should be a quick learner!Dakota has received her first round of vaccinations and is officially ready to gome home!
