Meet Rose Hi there! My name is Rose, but my friends call me Rosie Roo. I’m a 1-year-old female Lab mix (still waiting on those DNA results), and I’ve got a whole lot of love to give! I was rescued from a high-kill shelter, and now I’m living in Battle Creek, Michigan with my foster family. They say I’m super chill and very sweet. I just love being close to my humans – I’ll follow you everywhere, give you shoulder hugs and kisses and cuddle up in the big human bed whenever I can. Sometimes when I get really cozy I will snore, it’s really cute. Belly rubs? Oh yes, please! I’m great with respectful kids, especially those who are 6 and older. I’m pretty laid-back when I meet new people – I’m not the hyper type. And let me tell you a secret: I LOVE water! Whether it’s a kiddie pool, the beach, or a big lake, I’m all in. I even stick my whole head in the water bucket sometimes, which makes everyone laugh! Going for walks is one of my favorite things to do, and I’m really good on a leash. I’m also potty trained and crate-trained. When my humans leave, I go into my crate (especially when there’s a treat involved) and watch some TV until they’re back. Toys are my thing – especially the squeaky ones. And I can’t resist a good car ride, especially if it ends with a pup cup from Starbucks. I’ve learned some cool commands like sit, stay, and leave it and I’m working on a few more. I’m not a big barker, but if the delivery driver comes by, I might give a little growl just to let them know I’m here. I do have a few preferences though – I’d really love a home with a fully FENCED-IN YARD and some large dogs to play with. Small dogs? Not really my thing, they’re a bit too unpredictable for me. I think I would also be fine as an only dog. I’m not sure about cats yet, but I did okay with a rabbit once, so maybe!
