Breed: Chihuahua Age: 2 years Weight: 7 pounds Gender: Female Evie is a social little thing that shows her friendliness by eagerly wiggling to greet people. She will climb right up into your lap and she is such a perfect size for that. She does enjoy attention and is easy to lead or train as she is wild for treats. She loves to sun bath, is great in the car, and is comfortable in a crate. She does need training with the leash but is friendly on walks in meeting people and other dogs. She has lived with other dogs but can be protective of her area and guard this from other dogs, and even people. Evie needs an adult-only home, preferably with someone who is willing to work with her on her resource guarding. She needs someone to give her structure and doesn't let her rule the roost. Her protective nature extends further than just other dogs, as she settles in and can occasionally use her mouth to tell people 'No.' She may bite if scared to do something that she is being forced to do. The right home will help her get past any negative tendencies and will be graced with a happy, loving little dog. Evie came to us from Salinas Animal Services.
