Adoption processThere is an initial adoption application, followed by a meeting for approved applicants. If applying for a dog, we require other dogs who reside in the home to come to the shelter for a meet-n-greet as well. If all goes well, you sign a contract for adoption. All BCHS dogs and cats are spayed/neutered prior to adoption and are up to date on age-appropriate core vaccinations.Shelter locationThe Dog Shelter is located at 100 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown, OH 45121 and open to the public 11-5 Tues/Wed/Fri, and 11-4 on Sat & Sunday. If interested in our cats, they are located at the Small Animal Adoption Center, 422 Lincoln Ave, Georgetown, OH and open to public 11-5 Tues/Wed/Fri and 11-4 Sat/Sun. The Both shelter locations are CLOSED on Mon and Thurs.
