Snuggly and hilarious, puppy Gak will have you laughing at his antics. His favorite activities are snuggling with you, chasing his tail, and playing with a ball. Gak will romp and jump on his shadow; he is mesmerized by this presence that follows him around. Curious and playful, Gak is fascinated by new things, whether it is a toy, a person, or bare toes. While he will never pass up a chance to play with his siblings, he can also amuse himself quietly. And belly rubs? Gak adores belly rubs and thanks you profusely with sweet puppy kisses. Gak offers endless love and loyalty to his forever family. He'll stick by your side through thick and thin, ready to share in all of life's ups and downs. Born on May 2, 2024, Gak is a very young puppy. He has started potty training and still sleeps in a puppy pile in a pen with his siblings; he will begin leash, crate, and obedience training as soon as he is old enough to do so. Gak’s ideal home? A young puppy, he loves everyone and everything (except maybe loud noises). A home with people to love, who will love him in return and ensure he learns the skills that will make him a happy and well-rounded dog. Some neat toys to play with and daily walks and adventures. Gak will be old enough for adoption on or about July 5, 2024, and will be neutered (he is scheduled for this procedure in early July) before going to live with his adopter. Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and heartworm and deworming. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250.
