Summers County Humane Society Meet Heinz. This sweet boy was found laying in the middle of rural mountain road too exhausted to even move out of the way of a moving car. Luckily a kind samaritan, in the car, picked him up and took him home. He is now in foster care getting the attention that he deserves. Heinz gets along with other dogs and loves people. Please help Heinz find the loving home that he deserves. Please sponsor me! Would you like to volunteer? Foster Dogs --- Drive Dogs If you are interested in Adoption, please submit an application found on our web site. Rescue inquiries welcome! We work with rescues in northeastern states via the For All Paws Sake transport network.Our dogs can be transported as far as New England on Saturdays. Receiving Rescue Application August 17, 2024, 9:39 pmAdoption processACWP's requires potential adopters to submit an application and veterinary references to be reviewed by our placement team. A phone interview will follow and if a suitable animal is available a home visit will be arranged. ACWP requests a tax-deductible donation of $200 for most dog adoptions to help offset vetting expenses and to assist care for future animals.Shelter locationOur county and ACWP, Inc. do not have an animal shelter and our pets are kept in foster homes.
