Howdy!My name is Hope.I’m a 1 year old 40 lb black lab mix (we think ) who almost always has one ear flipped the wrong way! I lived most of my first year in Ingleside, TX. I'm now being fostered in Monroe, Michigan. I had a lot of things stacked against me- I was a black dog living in a Texas shelter and I had parvo- both of which can be a death sentence for a lot of dogs- but I was so lucky to have been Rescued by Project Hope! I don’t even have any lasting side effects of the parvo- how lucky am I?! At my Texas foster home I lived with many other dogs- it’s there that I developed my love of water and playing fetch with my foster brother and sister doggos. Then I came to Michigan to live with human ones! In my current foster home I live with 2 toddlers, 1 kid and a foster sister doggo-I love them all! I play hard and cuddle harder My favorite toys are balls and my stuffed dragon (my foster humans named him Pete!). Every night I look forward to cuddles on the couch. I know most of my basic commands, but I’m still working on my leash manners. We will review the application and then pass on to the dog's foster family (if applicable). We then contact the potential adopter's vet and we will also do a home visit.
