This is Janice. Janice is the sweetest old girl. She is low energy. She loves to go for walks but not long ones. She much rather get belly, rubs and hugs. She loves hugs, and once you start rubbing her head, she will flop over on the ground for a belly rub. She loves to scratch her back on the fresh grass. She is clean in her kennel and likes to sit on her bed with a blanket. She would be a perfect pump for a house, as long as she gets to be a couch potato. She came in with a dog named Opossum and after the 5 day stray hold they have been made available. We know she gets along with him, but have not tested her with other dogs. Long walks or fenced in back yard is always the best environment for dogs, but exercise is the main goal. We can test our dogs with other dogs at the shelter, but not every dog may get along with your dog this is why if you do have a pet at home we strongly suggest meet and greets before adopting. When adopting an animal at the shelter please know the responsibility of an animal. Most of the animals at the shelter have come in as a stray which mean they may not know how to sit or stay. They also might not have manners such as not to jump. Adopting takes patience. Please research the dog breed you are interested in and remember it takes time.
