Anyone interested in adopting must fill out an adoption application and be screened by an adoption coordinator. Home visits are required prior to adoptions. The home visit is to assure the safety of the animal and that the dog is a good match for the family.Shelter locationLake Area Partnerships for Animal Welfare (LAPAW) celebrated 20 years of companion animal rescue in November 2023, and Executive Director, Dana Frye, celebrates her 80th birthday August 2024!
