Koosh relishes being the center of attention; he needs to know what is going on and how to be a part of it. He loves new adventures and exploring (he was the first pup of his litter to figure out how to climb out of the whelping box). Koosh enjoys the company of kids and adults, and he likes to vocalize and communicate with you when he isn’t showering you with kisses or playing with his favorite toy. He plays well with his siblings and has FOMO (fear of missing out) when he cannot see what the others are doing. Funny, friendly, confident, and loving, this adorable boy is up for whatever you have planned, whether an explore, a cuddle on the couch, or some play time. Koosh loves to move; the world is so exciting, and he wants to discover everything it has to offer. Born on May 2, 2024, Koosh is a very young puppy. He has started potty training and still sleeps in a puppy pile in a pen with his siblings; he will begin leash, crate, and obedience training as soon as he is old enough to do so. Koosh’s ideal home? A young puppy, he loves everyone and everything (except maybe loud noises). Koosh will be old enough for adoption on or about July 5, 2024, and will be neutered (he is scheduled for this procedure in early July) before going to live with his adopter. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and heartworm and deworming. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250.
