Meet Lana! *Available for placement after July 25th* Lana and her sister Lola (as well as their mama Lucy) have had such a hard start to life. The Puerto Rico Dog Fund (PRDF) received a call from a concerned citizen when they saw the puppies suspended in a cage in a tree without food or water, in the hot Puerto Rican sun. Imagine.... :( We intervened with the authorities in tow, and rescued these two babies and their mama. Miss Lnaa is the life of the party and wants all the attention. She likes to chase and chew, and will talk animatedly when we arrive to visit. She has been placed with a loving foster, whom is already showing her that love exists with good humans. She was estimated to be 3 months old at her vet visit in mid-July and she is a petite 6/5 lbs. She melts into you once you hold her, and then squiggles to be put down to play and chase. Look at those cute ears! :) Because both girls need to finish their vetting and ensure they are healthy for flying, they will not be available for placement until July 25th. However, we are expecting many applications and hope to have their home chosen before that date so they can skip the stateside fostering and go right into their forever homes.
