I came here from another shelter, and while Iandamp;#39;m a little nervous about all the new sounds and smells, I know thereandamp;#39;s a loving family out there for me.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;I really thrive in the company of other dogs, so Iandamp;#39;d love to have a furry friend to help me feel more comfortable and confident. Older kids would be great, too-I appreciate a calm and gentle touch!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Since I can be a bit timid, Iandamp;#39;d like to meet everyone in the home before I settle in. Wait times may vary depending on the time of week and day. We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19. Adoption Requirements:- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.Shelter locationWe are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 12-7PM. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18.-Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings.
