If you're the adventurous type, Lilo would make the best traveling companion. She has a ton of energy that she could really use an outlet for, so hikes and plenty of fetch or tug-of-war would be perfect for her! She loves sun bathing and going for a dip in the pool, too! If you have another hyper dog that could use a buddy, Lilo would also highly benefit from having someone to constantly play with her. (Calm dogs wouldn't be ideal for her since they might find her overbearing.) She has shown signs of being housetrained, and crate training should come in handy when adapting to her new home. She knows the command "sit", but may not do it on command (she can be a bit stubborn), but with consistency and some treats in hand, she will sit after a few seconds. Young children wouldn't be ideal for her energy and enthusiasm - She likes to jump up in excitement and will sometimes start nipping your feet to get your attention (It can be tough to get attention here at the shelter when there's so many dogs that need it). While children won't understand how to handle this, the right person will exercise patience and training with her. Leash training tactics and giving attention when she's nice and calm versus when she's domineering will teach her that if she wants affection, she will get it under the right circumstances.
