Maya is an adorable and sweet girl who is always ready for love and attention. She is around one year old and 47 pounds. Who can resist her short legs, and big, square head, especially when it’s matched with an even bigger personality. She is a playful and friendly pup who loves going on walks, especially if they include cuddle breaks. She is still learning manners and commands, but she is a smart girl and is willing to learn. She has been on a hike with some volunteers, and their two smaller dogs, and she did wonderfully. She handled the car ride, new dogs, and a lake full of geese amazingly well. She loved being outside and going on an adventure. She also had a playdate in a home, where she used the bathroom outside before and after coming in the house, but not while inside. She also played with the two dogs she has gone on a hike with in their home and did really well. Her young, puppy brain doesn’t understand how much bigger she is than the smaller dogs, so she needs more training, or to be in a home with dogs closer to her size. Maya is ready for her own family to play and cuddle with.Adoption processIf you are interested in adopting an animal, please contact the Wabash County Animal Shelter at XXXX@outlook.com to receive an adoption screening form.
