If animals could talk, the stories they would tell. McWhorter was left behind in a rental home and found with a bone protruding through his leg. The landlord took responsibility for him and took him to the vet immediately, and he had to have his leg amputated. The Good Samaritan asked the animal control to find rescue and they reached out to TAPS. McWhorter is estimated to be a 5 year old boxer mix weighing in at approximately 40 pounds. I think there might be some beagle in there too. McWhorter is submissive and shy but loves human attention. He appears to be dog friendly, cats unknown. If you can commit to McWhorter and help him build his confidence and be patient while he learns to be a loved and secure house pet, you will be paid back with years of love.
