Hi I am Mia, So happy to find you looking at my profile. I am ready to be the best dog I can be for my forever family. I love to play with the other dogs that are here with me. I live with cats but we pretty much ignore each other and I am fine with that. Kids are great too, I am gentle, give kisses, and show affection to everyone. Toys are great, I especially like the stuffed balls but sometimes they explode on me, and I don’t know how it happens. But you know I am resourceful; I can find all kinds of things to play with like rope or a plastic bottle. I am pretty good at walking on a leash and love to walk around the neighborhood. I would be a good walking buddy if that is what you like to do. I will need some training on some of my basic commands, but I catch on pretty quickly. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.Adoption processOur adoption process is on our website at: https://hope4lapawz.org/adoption-process/ Once approved, we establish transport for your dog and work out delivery which is usually to an airport near your city (unless you are here in La Paz). Adoption fees are $400 USD and transport fees are typically a flat $300 to any city that Alaska Airlines flies direct from San Diego. Adoptions for dogs to be living in Mexico are $1500 + Transport Fees. Dogs traveling outside of Mexico are certified and have all appropriate documentation, shots, tests, and exams. In addition to the rescuing and medical rehabilitation of these dogs, we have regular training classes for the dogs to encourage socialization as well as leash and crate training while they are in their foster homes awaiting adoption. Our adoption team supplies information, and tools, recommended training books. They also perform periodic adoption follow ups and assistance for adoptive families. We want each of our dogs to be set up for success in their new home. Our goal is to provide adopters with a complete package of rescue, care, and adoption support to promote a successful, happy life for you and your new dog.
