Playful and affectionate, Mia, is the perfect package! Smart, fun and full of personality and a lap dog. She loves her toys, loves walks and is great on a leash, unless she sees a squirrel. She will point and want to chase it but is easily controlled. She is in a foster home with other dogs and a cat, which she will occasionally chase, but only in a playful manner. She gets along well with the dogs. She loves being in a lap but also loves being outside in the fenced yard in her foster home. Mia is housetrained and sleeps quietly all night in her crate. She is treat motivated and wants to please so she is very trainable. Mia is a small girl, only 19 pounds, is most likely a terrier mix and about 2 years old. When you adopt one of our pets, you will get an animal that has been checked by our veterinarian, spayed or neutered, given basic shots (including Rabies and puppy/kitten shots), a folder with the medical history and various useful information, and a contact with someone to answer any questions you might have as your pet settles into your home. What we will ask of you is a small adoption donation to the League, which is only a very small portion of what you would pay a veterinarian for all those services. We will also ask you to promise that, if for any reason it does not work out, that you will bring the animal back to us.
