I’m Moe and my two most favorite things are food and being outside! I love to sniff around and chase squirrels and rabbits when I see them. For that reason, I would do best in a no cat home. I think I would be fine sharing my family with another dog though! I want to visit with every person and dog I meet and love having a foster sister to play with. I really love attention (are you familiar with the art of giving belly rubs?) and curling up next to my foster mom on the couch. Especially with pillows! But sometimes my foster mom has to remind me that pillows aren’t toys. Like shoes - I LOVE shoes! But I’m learning what is and isn’t a toy and am confident that I will figure it out with my forever family’s help! I like to go on long walks and play. When I first came into rescue, I was very sick and had to stay in the hospital for almost a week! And then I still had to go through some treatments that required me to be very calm and quiet. I thought I would burst. I wanted to run and play so badly! I was restricted to very short walks. My foster mom says that I have good leash etiquette, except when I see a SQUIRRELL or BUNNY or something else fun to sniff or hunt. But I’m working on it. If you have a fenced yard that would be so awesome! I could run and explore to my heart’s content! But if you do have a fence, it can’t be a small one. I once leapt over my foster mom’s 4 ft fence to try to play with another dog – so I need at least a 5ft fence to keep me safe. I let my foster mom know when I need to go potty outside. I sleep in a crate and am usually fine once I’m in there, but you might need to bribe me or lead me on my leash to get me in there. I spent a lot of time in the crate while I was going through treatments so now, I much prefer the freedom to explore and play (or sleep on an air vent – that AC feels good)! I sleep through the night just fine. The vacuum is not a fun toy, so I try to protect my foster mom from it. I can’t figure out where the hair goes! I’m super friendly and feel like a youngster, including a little mouthy puppy behavior. My foster mom is teaching me how to play appropriately, but says I’ve been super gentle with all the human children that I’ve met. Remember I love food so that makes training a lot easier! Since I’m still learning, it would be best if children were 6 or older but it depends on the family! I can’t wait to meet you, forever family!
