The absolute cutest thing about Nicky is how he throws his stuffie in the air, catches it, gives it a little shake and then trots around proudly! A few of these fun moments and then he is ready for a group nap. Although you could say that he can entertain himself, I think this little display is for your entertainment, he is happy and wants to share that with you! Nicky has been so fortunate to be in a foster home while he waits for his forever family to find him. This has given him a head-start in having the best house manners, including being house and crate-trained! Once he gets home, all he will need is a quick tour of the appropriate potty places but from there, he’s got it! He is also living harmoniously with two large dogs and a cat. Nicky is living the condo life with his foster and she reports he adapted wonderfully to the routine of leash walks and potty breaks. When there is a knock on the door he will bark in response but all it takes for him to quiet is you to tell him that. He won’t keep it going once he knows you’ve got it and he will happily follow the lead of his pack mates. Nicky is estimated to be just shy of 2 years old, weighs 23 lbs, and is likely a chihuahua mix. In rescue, age and breed are educated observations, not guarantees, but we can assure you he is a lap-dog of love. He is easy-going and enjoys the company of everyone he has met, suiting his energy perfectly with all ages from the fosters 91 year old mom and her 5 year old granddaughter. We have a hard time imagining a home he wouldn’t adapt to.Be prepared for a loving head tilt, a perpetually perked up ear, and giant brown eyes meeting you at the door when you get home.
