This girl is an absolute sweetheart but our home is too busy for her. She does not have an aggressive bone in her body and absolutely LOVES other dogs but she is very bashful with people. She has bonded to me but none of the other members of our home that care for her every day. I just feel like it is truly in her best interest to live in a home that has far less commotion. We have 7 other dogs, kids, horses, pigs, chickens, etc. She is purebred and is AKC registered, however, the breeder I got her from would not sell her with her papers. Quite frankly, the woman was kind but not honest with me. This dog is wonderful but for a 1-2 person household because she is very insecure. She has NOT displayed any destructive tendencies, separation anxiety, etc., but she is just a nervous nellie and our home stresses her out. She will sleep in her crate and not make a peep. In fact, I suspect she spent the majority of her life before I got her, living in a crate because she would only be calm in there until recently. We have been working hard on potty training but its hard with chihuahuas to begin with and when you have a pup that is so nervous, it makes it even harder. She will go outside for the bathroom but does not understand that she is also not supposed to go inside. I strongly believe that she will respond well to someone that has a smaller, quieter home, however. This dog was my dream chihuahua and her personality is absolutely wonderful once she feels comfortable with you!! This breaks my heart to do this but I am being selfish if I keep her because she deserves a calm life where she will be relaxed. She has been around a 4 year old child and is lovable and kind to her as well as our other dogs. You can really see her personality when she is outside running around with our other dogs. She just opens right up and is happy and carefree with them! If you have another dog, that would be a huge bonus! I have a lot more invested in this dog than I am asking for her.
