Oscar Snow Storm was born November 18, 2022 and will likely top out between 35-40 lbs. when full grown. This puppy is half Doxie and half Husky and we did see a photo of the parents. They came to us from the greater Buffalo area and as hard as the owner tried to schedule a spay appointment, at a reasonable cost, he found it difficult with the after pandemic veterinary climate which has made appointments a premium. And then as hard as he tried to keep the two dogs separate while the Husky was in heat he failed - just once. And then along came these short, stubby legged, sable'ish cuties that we are calling the Storm puppies. Somehow, we just couldn't resist naming them a first name having to due with their Doxie Dad, which they most resemble, and then middle name having to do with their Husky mom and why not add a last name while we are at it so 'Storm' was chosen! Whew!!!! The hour and a half ride here did cause some vomiting and drool, but they had never been in a car before and they were a bit confused and shy upon arrival and they had not been out of their home and yard prior. They began adjusting quickly and decided it was rather fun here and we were kind of cool humans - a bit weird, but cool! The parents are wonderful canine companions and the only negative is that mom, the Husky, can be a bit of a wanderer so we will be looking for homes with a secure fence just in case that trait comes through in the puppies. So, the 'Storms' are fun, funny, very adorable, and are going to make five families feel SO loved!!! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $ 600.00_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
