Lovable, adorable, fun-loving Patchy is ready to be your new family (or single-family) pet! He's a neutered male, 7 year-young, medium sized (36.2lbs) Beagle! Literally the sweetest dog this foster-mom has ever had to date! Patchy is easy to love! Sadly, Patchy came to our rescue because the previous family lost their home and couldn't keep him. He has a great temperament (calm, chill with the occasional zoomies!). He is good with kids, cats, and dogs. He's calm and laid back. He does occasionally bark that distinct beagle bark but is usually quiet. He uses his non-verbals well with a nudge of his soft pink nose to your hand when he wants some cuddles. Patchy is house-broken though he could use regular positive reminders as he adjusts to a new place and family's schedule. Patchy's previous owner got him as a purebred Beagle puppy from a local store (no longer in business). Since coming to BTR, we successfully removed a large benign growth. His hair is growing back, and he shows great signs of adjustment and healing. He does well in his crate though he prefers to be out of it. He settles quite nicely in the evenings. Is learning nice manners with walking. He's extremely receptive to treat-proofing training such as "touch" to recall him from a far, and sit-stay. But we're hoping his fur-ever family will invest the time and love he needs to continue the good walking manners.
