Little Pepper is so named because she is an active, spicy girl! She was dumped out of a car and left, so we had to scoop her right up! She was a bit nervous at first, and did not know what to think, but now after only a short time she has settled right in and is playing with the children and the big dogs in the home. She is around two years old, the vets believe, and weighs 15 pounds. Pepper sleeps all night in her crate and is house trained. She enjoys laps and feeling secure when she is picked up. She amazes us with her snuggling and care.Pepper loves going for walks and being out with her people; it actually has made her more comfortable faster. Her resilience in moving on from the awful experience she had shows us what a wonderful dog she is and she deserves only the very best moving forward!Adoption processOnce you have selected the puppy or dog you are most interested in, an initial questionnaire is done. Then, a phone interview may be conducted. A reference from a Vet or another organization you have adopted from in the past will be needed and a home check may be required. Our adoption fee is $350 plus a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit that is required. An adoption contract will need to be signed with a "no later than" agreed-upon date for spay and neuter. Spayed and neutered dogs are $400-$450. All of our dogs come with 30 days of pet insurance as well.Shelter locationOn Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 11-1, we will be at the Chuck and Don's in Firestone, CO (4445 City Centre Rd, Ste 200, Longmont, CO 80504), with many of our available dogs and pups! Come by and say hi and get some doggie love! We cannot wait to see you! If there is one dog or pup you are more interested in, please email an inquiry prior to Saturday.
