Meet our Poppy Joy, she is a 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog/Poodle Mix who found her way to us after some unfortunate and unexpected changes in her family home. We are thankfully to be trusted with finding her forever. We are looking for a foster to adopt home rather than a straight adoption! Poppy is a girl with a lot of heart. We do believe that Poppy NEEDS another confident resident dog in her forever home. She is a shy girl that has made progress decompressing and finding her groove with her foster sibling by her side. Even on her walks, she prefers a dog with her to feel safe and sound. Without one she is easily spooked which is to be expected with the amount of changes she has been through lately. When it comes to leash walking we do believe that a strong handler is needed for the time being, this is because she's a big girl learning a new environment. We are looking for a home that can provide patience, love and positive recognition. She will be your best friend but just needs some time to get there. She promises she is absolutely worth it. We are looking for a foster to adopt home so we can continue to be a resource for both her and her selected family. She is both crate and house trained. She has lived in a home with children as young as 7. She is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed and currently being treated for a minor ear infection. She requires another resident dog and a fenced yard. Resident dog must be up to date on vaccinations, preventatives and spayed/neutered.
