We then run a reference check on them and a home visit if deemed necessary. We also ask that adopters bring current dogs and all human household members with them if they are adopting a new family member. After becoming an approved adopter a contract is signed stating that if something should happen and the adopter can no longer keep their furry family member it must be returned to our shelter. This is a legally binding contract. Fees are age based.
