Get ready for some of the cutest black Lab puppies to ever cross a rescue website path. One of 12 gorgeous black Lab mix puppies born on March 29th, this handsome Lab mix boy is D'Artagnan (pronounced dar-TAN-ee-on, and he is a post pup for all the reasons to consider a Black Lab mix puppy to adopt. Look at that FACE! He is named after one of the Musketeer and boy is he full of adventure and personality. Mama Lumina is a 45 pound beauty and is a Mountain Cur mix obviously Dad had to be a Black Lab. All 12 puppies are black as night and just gorgeous with all the Lab qualities and looks. We estimate D’Artagnon to eventually be a 60+ pound as an adult. D'Artagnan is being fostered with 3 of his brothers after the litter was broken down from the original 12 who stayed with momma until 5-7 weeks of age. Now he is in a foster home where his personality is able to be nurtured and dog manners can be taught to a smaller group than 12. This boy is the most affectionate and the most hungry for affection. Now who could refuse this boy some lovin’ ? He is the first one to run up to you and the first to hog a space in your lap. We see he is smart, easy to train and eager-to-please kind of puppy. D'Artagnan has all the earmarks of being wonderful around children and will be attending a large 10 year old birthday party this weekend where he will be hugged, loved on and played with. We will then know how much he loves their company. We can tell from his personality that he will love them. He does fine with other dogs and is eager to be friends with them, and since he is so easy going and loveable, we know a cat could be his BFF too. If you are active, then D'Artagnan will be a great running/hiking/camping companion for anything you might want him to join you in doing. This boy is eagerly waiting to join you on all your adventures in life! We highly suggest having a fenced yard or access to a constant dog park visitation. He needs exercise as he grows and needs to stay in tip top shape both physically and mentally.
