Meet Rango and Ringo!! A pair of brothers who are around 6 years, neutered, fully vaccinated and mixed with dachshund! Win!!! Win!!! They are bright, playful and spunky!! Dachshunds are known for their lively personalities, and mixed breeds often bring a unique blend of traits to the table. These brothers have overcome adversity, abuse and the challenges of street life AND found their way to safety and care with FSHTJ in August 2022. **Rescued dogs often have incredible resilience, remarkable spirit and can flourish with the love and support of a caring family. These two are truly deserving of a happy and secure forever home where they can thrive and continue to bring joy to those around them with their playful and fun nature!Adoption processWe take great care in being sure that each adoption is a good fit for both the animal and the adopter. Once the adoption is finalized, after a 1 week trial period, we follow up with the adopter (sometimes more time is needed) making sure that the pet is well adjusted to its surroundings and its new owner.We also ask that they take the adopted pet to their Vet to have the pet checked out even though we have done so prior to the adoption.Shelter locationWe have adoption events almost every weekend. Our Adoption events take place at Petco & Petsmart, our adoption partners. We also participate in other adoption events in the city of San Diego, CA, i.e., the Doggy Street Festival (at Liberty Station) as well as all the events sponsored by the Animals Support Foundation, that take place in Grossmont, San Diego.
