Meet Roo Roo! This sweet girl earned her name because she bounces around like a kangaroo when she's playing or when she's happy to see you. But don’t worry—she doesn’t jump on you, just gives a pogo stick-like bounce of excitement that’s utterly adorable! With her signature ear flop, Roo will completely melt your heart. Roo is house-trained, rides well in the car, and sleeps soundly through the night, preferably snuggled up close to her human. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, has been good with chickens, and is very interested in playing with cats—though her playful nature might be a bit much for small dogs or less tolerant cats. She’s even brought out the playful side in some of the senior dogs at her foster home. Despite her rough start—left to fend for herself when her owners abandoned their house—Roo has remained forgiving and incredibly thankful to the lady who rescued her. Now, at about six months old, she’s always happy, loves her chew toys and is so eager to please! Roo Roo is the best four-legged companion, ready to bring joy and love to a forever home that will cherish her. Could that be yours? Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!Adoption processA potential adopter will submit a application. A vet reference is very helpful and will speed the adoption process along. Once approved, a phone interview will be conducted and the adopter will sign a contract. Transport will then be scheduled to bring the new pet home.Shelter locationThe majority of our dogs/cats are fostered in Alabama. We have wonderful foster families that contact all applicants to answer any additional questions or provide more photos and videos. Once a application is approved our dogs/cats are transported north to their new families. We use a private transport that is USDA certified and Licensed. All dogs are fully vetted and will travel with a Alabama Health Certificate and their medical records. We are a 501C3 rescue. We can offer references upon request.
