Meet Rufus! This little hippo is around 5 years old and a total sweetheart! He was found as a stray suffering from mange, specifically around his eyes. His condition went untreated for so long it started to affect his eyesight. He has healed from the skin infection and Dry Eye, and will have to receive artificial tears in one of his eyes continuously! The progress Rufus has been making is great, this boy has many happy and healthy years ahead of him! Because of Rufus’ difficulty seeing when he first came to us, we have taken dog introduction slowly. Now that his eyesight is clearing up, Rufus has met a handful of dogs and has done well! This handsome guy is overall a sweet dog who would love a couch to curl up on! One of his favorite activities is playing fetch and chewing on his toys!
