Rusty Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier Senior Male
Rusty is a handsome Yorkie fellow. Rusty is 10 years old and weighs 9 pounds. He is being fostered in Orlando, FL and must be adopted in the state of Florida. Rusty came to UYR on April 1st, from Lake County Animal Control. He was a stray and not microchipped, so they couldn't obtain any information about him. He was quite matted when he was found and his mouth was in bad shape.Rusty is a very sweet, calm boy. He's around 10 years old and weighs 9 pounds. He walks well on a leash. He likes car rides, but has a tendency to get car sick. He rarely barks and gets along well with other dogs and people. I don't know how he is with cats. He is not completely house-trained and wears a belly band when inside. He's starting to let me know when he needs to go outside, so there's hope.Rusty is current on his shots and had been microchipped. He was already neutered when found. He has his dental cleaning today (4/11) and due to the condition of his teeth, the vet had to pull all of them. Although his tongue will forever stick out, he will have no difficulty eating. Rusty will need a home with a mom/dad who are retired or works from home. He should not be left alone for long periods of time. Children, age 12 and up would be okay. A fenced yard would be nice, but not required. Several daily walks would suffice. If you can provide the type of home Rusty requires and would like to be considered for his adoption, please go to our website and submit an application for adoption. www.unitedyorkierescue.orgIf you have any questions or would like to adopt Rusty, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
