Meet Sally! Sally came to Iowa from a hoarding case in Oklahoma. Sally has had a rough run… she was a mama very young and then had to go through heartworm treatment for heartworm disease. She is now healthy and ready to find a loving, patient home to call her own. Sally is slow to warm up to people, but once she is comfortable she is so sweet and silly! Sally loves going on walks and playing with toys, but she’s also happy to snooze on the couch. She is a quiet hound dog… what?!?! Unheard of, but it’s true! Sally is housebroken and really hates the crate so she’s been trusted to have free roam of her foster house and does great! Sally is cautious with other dogs, but has become good buds with her four legged foster sister and best friends a friend’s dog too. She just needs a little time. Cats are unknown but she’s seemed fearful of them on walks and would likely leave them alone. Sally loves to sit outside and watch squirrels so her ideal home would have a fenced yard (or at least someone who is willing to sit with her on leash outside frequently), no kids, and a low key single person or couple. Sally has some noise phobia that she has made great progress with, but she would likely not be comfortable in an apartment setting. Sally has learned to work through so many challenges already and will continue to do so, but will need a patient, kind adopter to give her the time she needs to trust. Whoever puts in the time with this darling dog will have the greatest reward of her deep, sweet love in return.All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older.
