The family who had him since he was a little baby decided one day that they didn’t want him anymore. So, what did they do? They opened their back gate to try and get him to leave… but thankfully he didn’t, which bought us time to learn about and save him. Scottie is the world’s sweetest terrier puppy. Although he is a typical active puppy who needs plenty of exercise and stimulation, he is incredibly cuddly and just wants to be with his people. Scottie LOVES other dogs. He would play all day with his doggie foster sister if she let him and has gained so much confidence being around her and her neighborhood doggie friends. He definitely needs a playful mentor dog in his forever home to be successful. This sweet fella will absolutely melt your heart. If you have another playful dog and are looking to add a super affectionate, active puppy to the home, Scottie could be your dude! Scottie is currently being fostered in Torrance, California but can adopted anywhere as long as you can come to SoCal and drive home. We vaccinate, spay/neuter, microchip, and provide any additional care such as surgery or rehabilitation. We help each dog get ready to be placed in a happy forever home. Potential adopters are asked to complete an online adoption application and may be visited by one of our volunteers to do a home interview. We aim to find the best fit for each dog's needs. Our adoption fees range between $400-$1,000 for domestic dogs and those from Mexico. Dogs are assigned an adoption fee based on several factors such as age, breed, health and behavior, amongst others. For our international dogs from overseas, adoption fees range $800-$2,000. International adoption fees are higher due to the travel and boarding costs, as well as the above-mentioned factors for domestic dogs. These dogs stay in their country of origin for weeks, or sometimes months, prior to being able to travel.
