Socket is our resident, would be movie star. This fantastic, happy boy is incredibly entertaining with his vivacious personality, loving gestures, and most adorable playing. Socket finds joy in everything, everyone, and all kinds of activities. He is very energetic and bubbly, but will also sit in your lap affectionately, and even take belly rubs. He couldn’t be any friendlier or sweeter. Socket is a Jack Russell Terrier, about 2 1/2 years old and 12 pounds. When he first arrived, Socket had not been properly socialized to be with other dogs and would overwhelm them with his energy and playfulness. He has now been at the rescue about one year, and has learned appropriate play and how to hang out with the other dogs. He could be in a home with another young dog that likes to play a lot. He would also be okay as the only dog in the home. Socket walks nicely on a leash, but it would be nice for his new home to have a fenced yard for romping around. July 27, 2024, 7:06 pmAdoption processWe have an adoption contract that must be completed and approved. We require vet and personal references as well home checks. Our normal response time is approximately 7 to 10 working days. Our Adoption Committee works very hard to place our dogs in environments where they will be most likely to succeed. Please understand that we have more applications than we do dogs and that if you do not hear from us within that timeframe, we currently do not have a dog who we feel would match your needs. Our fee includes neuter or spay, all shots, and snap test for heartworm/erlichia/lyme. We take care of whatever their medical needs might be before they are adopted. WE ADOPT TO ALL OF FLORIDA AS WELL AS OTHER STATES. WE DO NOT SHIPShelter locationWe show by appointment only after the adoption application has been processed and approved.
