Sophie_A199879Sophie is an 2-1/2-year-old, intact female, gold and white Boxer mix that weighs 62 pounds. She was surrendered by her former family along with her friend, La La, on 10/23/19 due to a move. Sophie lived with her former family for 1 year and they shared with us that she is an indoor dog that is house trained. She needs a little more work not pulling when walking on the leash, but does know the sit, lay down and `be gentle` when taking food from the hand. Sophie greets people in an excited way and wants to play. She has previously lived with junior-high aged kids and could do so again as long as they are respectful. She was never destructive in her former home and her only fear is the wind/loud noises. Sophie gets along very well with her friend, La La. If you have another dog and are interested in adopting Sophie, bring them to the shelter with you and our staff will help you with a meet and greet. She is neutral toward the cats here at the shelter. Sophie`s $85 adoption fee includes a $40 voucher to be used toward her spay, which, by law, MUST be done within 30 days of adoption (this will be thoroughly followed up). The fee also includes her up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine, microchip, leash, collar and goody bag!
