Meet Teddy, also known as Oso. This little 20-pound Gem came into foster care because the shelter was too stressful for him. After being brought into a home he quickly let us know that a crate was not for him, and he wasn't a fan of being confined. So, he was left free range from the beginning and he did not disappoint! This little guy is house trained and does not get on furniture despite the bad example displayed by the other personal dogs *wink*. Oso has manners but is still learning basic commands such as "sit" or "lay down". Oh yeah, Oso gets along with other dogs just fine! Oso is rather passive and playful with dogs his size. He is perfect on the leash and enjoys short walks and preferable a fenced backyard where he can wander around, do his business and return to his cozy home and next to his human. Oso is not a dog for hiking but rather leisure time and deck/yard time, and when inside, he prefers an old small blanket to chew on, or a bone in lieu of toys. At the beginning Oso is shy, so it will take him a couple days to warm up, but between us, the best way to win him over is by sharing a sporadic table scrap (the healthy ones) and jerky treats with him.Oso has not been tested with cats, bigger dogs or children. On walks he does not have a bad reaction when he sees another dog. This little fella would do great with a mature person who just wants company and be loved and love him back. He is a really good pup and is looking for a forever kind human.He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention. He is already microchipped and neutered. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
