Hi there, my name is Tony and MVPC's best guess is that I am a Schnauzer/Cairn Terrier mix. I’m a smaller fella but what I lack in size I make up for with my sweetness and spunk. I'm pretty smart too! When I arrived at MVPC I wasn't sure what manners even were. My foster family worked with me and I picked up my basic commands in no time at all. I do great with other dogs and while I love a good play session, I would prefer to have an older or not so rowdy playmate. I love to give hugs, am great in my crate and on my leash, love kids, good lap dog and have the cutest little prance when I get excited! What is not to LOVE?? ADOPTION FEE: $400 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experienceBIRTHDAY: 11/02/2022FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment)DOG FRIENDLY: YesDOGS IN HOME: Yes, prefer an older playmateCATS: Yes, with supervisionCHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $400 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!Adoption processOur adoption fees are $250 for adult dogs, and $350 for puppies 5mo and under. Adoption fees may be more or less depending on breed, special needs, etc. This covers all vetting and allows us to take on hard cases. It all starts with an application. http://www.miamivalleypitcrew.com Our dogs are listed until an adopter is approved and a hold fee is received. Please submit an application for approval FIRST. You will receive a "received" auto response with further information. We do not adopt out littermates together. We are a 100% foster-based, volunteer rescue so we are not able to respond to every inquiry about a dog (though we try) and we will respond to a request for an application or if one is submitted through our website. Please allow 72 hours for us to respond, and please check your spam/junk mail folder first, then send us an email if you believe we have not responded! Since we are foster-based, we have no centralized facility to visit. All of our dogs live in private homes as members of their respective foster families. We require a physical fence for most dogs. Once approved, we bring the dog to your home for a home visit.
