Wendy is a 5-year-old female Labradoodle (Lab/Poodle)mix who has already been spayed. She was found as a stray out in the county and no owner claimed her. This sweet girl was in bad shape when she was brought into the shelter. Wendy's coat was terribly matted--to the point she had difficulty even seeing through the mats. As you can see, she had to be clipped very short; and she looks pretty rough. Wendy's coat will grow out and she will be beautiful once it does. She weighs 53 pounds, and truth be told, she needs to gain a few pounds. Wendy is extremely active and will need a nice, securely fenced yard where she can safely play. She needs to be out of the shelter ASAP because she has a condition called 'happy tail syndrome'. Happy tail syndrome is a condition where dogs cause damage to the tip of their tails from striking surfaces. Many times, this condition occurs when they are wagging their tail, which is why it’s coined happy tail syndrome. With Wendy being in the kennel at the shelter, she is constantly wagging her tail and striking the wall of her run. For this reason, we are eager for Wendy to be out of the kennels. She is a super sweet dog who just needs a new start on life.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.
