Ziggy is one of 10 siblings that are wonderfully social, healthy, energetic kittens that are entertaining to watch. Ziggy and his sibs are currently in residence at Feeders Supply, Somerset KY. Ziggy W has had all age appropriate vaccines and has been treated for parasites, he will be neutered and micro-chipped when he is old enough. (If he is adopted before he is old enough to be neutered, SPCHS will provide a voucher to cover the cost of neutering.) As with all YOUNG kittens, SPCHS will not permit Ziggy W to be adopted by a family with children under 6 years old. NOTE: Kittens cannot be accurately tested for FIV/FeLeuk until at least 10-12 weeks of age. S-PCHS does not allow untested kittens to go to their forever homes until they show a negative test. Applications may be submitted for review, but kitten adoptions will only be finalized when after age appropriate testing is complete.Adoption processThe application process.... After you complete an application, there are several things that we will do: 1. We will check your personal references. Please be sure to list two personal references and include a phone number and an email address. (form asks for one; but I like two)2. If you do not own your place of residence, we will call your landlord or leasing office. Please check with them first to learn about their pet policy.3. We will call your veterinarian for a reference. We are looking for a history of annual exams, vaccines maintained routinely, annual heartworm tests and monthly preventatives. We require the following: * All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. * If your pet is not up to date on vaccines, please do not submit the application until you have scheduled an appointment with the vet to get your pets current on their vaccines. 4. If you are a 1st-time pet owner, please include the name and phone number of the veterinarian you plan to use.5. Be sure to call your Vet(s), giving them permission to speak with us.6. We may need to do a home visit prior to approving your application, or post-adoption. If these policies and practices are not acceptable, please do not apply.Shelter locationWe have Adoption Days on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 179 Chris Way in Somerset, Kentucky from 12-4 pm EST, in addition to community-based special adoption events.
