Kyrie is a sensitive young boy who was surrendered to the shelter after spending his whole life in one home. He has lived with other dogs and has reportedly been calm and happy when meeting kiddos. Kyrie was housebroken in his former home on a regular schedule and loved to cuddle with his person at night. His former owner also said that he loves to sunbathe and sleep on the couch. Here’s what else they said:“Kyrie is usually a very chill, laid back boy. He gets along with every new person and dog he meets (though he is a little shy meeting new dogs). He`s happiest when he`s running around the yard, chasing his fellow canine siblings. He also loves to cuddle and sleep on my legs at night. When meeting new people, Kyrie is pretty friendly though cautious and has met and interacted with children as young as one without issue. Though it takes him a minute to warm up to a new home environment, he would be the perfect dog for any family.”Kyrie also spent a bit of time in a foster home- here’s what his foster had to say:“Kyrie is house trained and crate trained (mostly). He walks well on a leash and can be easily redirected when he starts pulling. Kyrie is VERY affectionate; he loves to snuggle on the bed or couch and will lay near you wherever you go. He loves to give hugs and kisses! He LOVES kongs! He definitely has a lot of energy and needs to be given plenty of enrichment activities (puzzle feeders, lickmats) which he really enjoys. He is very smart and has already mastered his puzzle feeder. Kyrie is nervous with new situations and people but he is slowly coming out of his shell and getting more comfortable. He lets us wipe his paws, brush him, clean his ears or pick him up with no issues. The ideal home would be quiet and slow paced. Kyrie is very nervous around strangers, but warms up with time.”The shelter has been very hard on Kyrie and he often does not want to come inside at night. We would love to find him a quiet home soon where he can feel safe and where his true personality will shine. Please ask to meet Kyrie today!
