My name is JoJo.Breed:One volunteer said my black saddle with ginger underbody makes me look like an Airedale Terrier with a close shave job. But I do declare, I am not an Airhead dog, my noggin is smacked full of smarts. If I have to be categoried, I would categorize myself as a Sorta Hound or German Shepherd mix, but this isnt the movie Divergent and I will not be categoried. I am about 4 years old and 50 lbs.Favorite Things:Oprah isnt the only chick who wants to share her favorite things with people, I too want to share my hugs and kisses with all the people. You geta hug, and you geta hug, and you geta hug. Look under your chair, its a hug! Sawry that is actually a bug under your chair. Easy mistake.Best Rub Spot:Goosh dern it, I will sound soooo basic right here, but I have to admit, its the belly.Social Factor:I will immediately approach dogs and people. I am a girl without any chips on her shoulder. I love everyone. Wait. I think I do have a chip on my shoulder, a microchip, but that is an entirely different type of chip. There are also potato chips, again, another tail for another day.Sob Story:I do have a bit of a sad tail. I came from the City of San Antonio shelter. I had babies there, but they were all sick. They had to go to the shelter clinic to get medicines for their tummies. That was sad to leave my babies, but I was trusting that they would get good medicines and feel better. Gods Dogs Rescue agreed to take me on and find me a home since now I am a non-Momma dog and my babies would find good homes too.Skills:So far I seem to be potty trained. I do know about leash walking and crates too. My play skills are very nice and I would be good at playing with other dogs or even short peopleyou know human puppieshow do you sayoh yes kids, I think I would be nice with kids.Final Ask:Sometimes life starts out hard, but if you hang in there, things get better. I want a family that will always hang in there with me and also hang out with me on the couch for football or movies or binge watching a historical drama on Netflix. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired.Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website.
