Another adorable adoptable from our teenage collection: meet Luna! This 14 year old Shih tzu mix was sadly given up due to her owner’s illness. A lot of dogs adjust and bond quickly when surrendered, but this loyal reserved little girl was clearly in shock and disbelief that her person wasn’t coming back for her. When taken out for walks she would check every car and watch every person hoping this was just another vet or grooming appointment, and that she would be returning home soon. She seems to be starting to adjust and give up/accept her fate, and we are hopeful she will fine a new special person who will value her loyalty. Luna wasn’t around too many other people and is a nervous girl who likes her space at first- no touching and let her come to you. She put up quite the fight at the vet, but despite her best efforts otherwise she has been updated on shots and spayed, and she and the vet staff somehow survived the traumatic ordeal. Once she bonds she’s a cuddly affectionate dog, in pretty shape and could easily pass for half her age, and has been getting along well with other mellow small dogs. She’s about 18lbs full grown and is ready to love 💘 again. Calmer adult home for this girl for sure, she would not appreciate children at all.
