Winnona is a lovely little house hippo who would love to hippo around YOUR house! She’s a quick staff and foster parent favorite - a sensitive little lady who warms up quickly and is a great companion. She does GREAT with Dogs, very playful and fun! She did well with the Cats in the foster home and was housebroken! She is a DREAM on the leash! Here at the shelter her friends have said:“Winnona has adjusted to shelter life a bit from when she first arrived and is more outgoing and still just as sweet. She is very smart and likes to please- she knows how to heel and sit, and seems to enjoy “working” for treats. Great dog!”“What a fabulous dog! Winnona was easy to leash – she was a bit shy at first but once out in the park she relaxed. She was walking not only loose leash but pretty much heeling by my side the whole time. Great eye contact and checked back with me frequently. She loves treats and is very gentle about taking them, and she also enjoys being petted and listens very well. Winnona was well behaved, mellow, sweet and an absolute delight to spend time with.”Winnona has been oh-so-easy to handle in shelter and is a sweet little sidekick.
